A Danish Ethnomusicologist in Sardinia: Andreas F.W. Bentzon and the Launeddas.
A Lectio Magistralis, presented in the Humanities Institute, University College Dublin, April 20th, 2013 and organized in collaboration with the Delargy Centre for Irish Folklore, School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore, in conjunction with the School of Music. The lecture was illustrated by a performance on the launeddas by Gianluca Piras. The lecture was introduced by Dr Bairbre Ní Fhloinn, Assistant Professor and Head of Irish Folklore, and the official response to the lecture was given by Professor Therese Smith, Lecturer in Ethnomusicology and Head of the School of Music.
